ANDREAS BUSK
BIO
BIOGRAPHY

Andreas Busk b. 1979

Andreas Busk works in the borderlands between electronica and experimental sound art.
Musically and artistically, he has a diverse background: During his childhood he sang in the local choir and played the recorder. As a teenager he played heavy metal guitar, composed music on an old Amiga 600 and praticed scales over the tone of the motor of his moped while he drove back and forth to guitar lessons in Southern Jutland.

After high school he studied art philosophy and street art at Roskilde University until he returned to music, now with a focus on the posibilities of electronic music at The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Esbjerg.

Andreas works with a broad spectrum of projects. He works with sound installations and as an electronic composer and is the originator of the open source prepared piano-project Are You Prepared. He is a member of the Danish Composers' Society and has recently released his first album 1:1.
